Early Sunday morning, two women were injured when a security guard accidentally discharged a shotgun inside a busy nightclub in North Houston. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at a venue on the 400 block of W. Parker.
According to initial reports from the Houston Police and Fire Departments, pellets from the shotgun struck the women. One woman received minor injuries to her forehead, while the other was hit in the torso. Both were treated and released on-site by emergency personnel.
The security guard fled the scene following the accidental shooting. At the time, the club was packed with hundreds of patrons, and many others were waiting to enter. The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the incident and searching for the guard involved.
