A security guard named Abdullah, 29, heroically disarmed a man who stabbed an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman in London’s Leicester Square. Abdullah shared how he intervened after hearing screams and witnessing the attack. Without hesitation, he “jumped on” the attacker, subdued him, and removed the knife.
Abdullah, reflecting on the incident, said, “I just saw a kid getting stabbed, and I tried to save her. It’s my duty to just save them.” He quickly held the assailant down, with the help of bystanders, until the police arrived.
The terrifying scene unfolded in a matter of seconds. “I heard screaming, looked up, and saw the attacker. He was a white man in a white shirt, and people were screaming,” Abdullah explained. The police arrived within minutes, taking the attacker into custody while Abdullah’s colleagues administered first aid to the victims.

While both the girl and the woman were treated for their injuries, Abdullah expressed how unsafe he feels on the streets, especially in a place that has seen violent incidents before. “It’s crazy to see something like this happen in the middle of the day. I don’t feel safe on the street,” he added.
Abdullah’s quick actions likely saved lives that day, showing immense bravery in a terrifying situation.
