In today’s competitive landscape, AI can transform sales training by streamlining the process, allowing new hires to develop essential skills without impacting real customer interactions. FullyRamped, a forward-thinking start-up, leverages AI technology to provide a smarter, more efficient training solution for sales teams.
Growing companies need their sales teams to quickly begin driving business, but training new hires can be time-consuming and challenging. Onboarding them too fast risks damaging relationships with potential customers. To tackle this, California-based start-up FullyRamped, led by CEO Aaron Marks, is pioneering the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in sales training. Today, the company announced it raised $2.3 million to advance its AI-driven training platform.
FullyRamped was founded by Marks earlier this year to address a common issue he faced in his previous role as a growth manager: the costly and time-consuming ramp-up period for new sales representatives. “We had this unavoidable problem,” says Marks. “New reps needed time to develop their skills, understand our customer base, and master sales tactics.” His background in natural language processing technology inspired him to engineer a solution.
How AI Can Accelerate Sales Training
FullyRamped’s AI-based platform lets sales reps practice their pitches by interacting with the AI, which responds in real time as they make their sales presentations. This approach allows trainees to refine their approach, test out objection handling, and practice speaking to various customer personas without using live leads or waiting for a manager to be available. “This offers endless practice opportunities without the limitations of manager or peer availability,” says Marks.

The platform utilizes cutting-edge large language models that enable rapid, real-time responses, which just a year ago would have been nearly impossible to achieve, Marks notes. This advancement enables FullyRamped’s technology to provide a dynamic training experience, helping new sales recruits build confidence and skills more quickly. As a result, sales reps are not only ready to handle real customers sooner but also come in better prepared to succeed.
By using AI-driven simulations, FullyRamped believes that companies can cut down on the ramp-up time for new sales hires, helping them become productive team members faster. The solution aims to make onboarding more efficient and provide recruits with a valuable, low-risk learning environment.
