Task Order Continues Protective Services at Silver Spring Headquarters

Triple Canopy, a subsidiary of global risk management and security firm Constellis, has been awarded a new $95 million task order to provide protective security services to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The award ensures ongoing support for the federal agency and builds on Triple Canopy’s previous contract, which began in 2018.

Under this latest task order, Triple Canopy will continue to deploy Protective Security Officers, along with supervisors and management support personnel, to protect the FDA’s headquarters and associated facilities. The contract was competitively solicited, with the FDA receiving 10 bids before awarding the task order to the Constellis subsidiary.

“This award reflects the trust we have earned through consistent performance and our commitment to protection as a mission, not just a mandate,” said Terry Ryan, CEO of Constellis and former recipient of the Wash100 award. “We continue to evolve how we protect by combining experience, insight, and innovation to meet the needs of our public and private sector partners.”

A Trusted Leader in Federal Security Services

Triple Canopy has long been recognized as a reliable provider of government security services. The company specializes in safeguarding critical infrastructure, government buildings, and personnel across the U.S. and globally.

In 2020, Triple Canopy was selected for the Department of State’s $15 billion worldwide protective services contract, an enormous and highly competitive initiative aimed at supporting diplomatic security operations around the globe. That same year, the company was also awarded a $198 million task order to provide protection and support for U.S. Army forces and assets in Kuwait.

These high-value contracts reflect Triple Canopy’s reputation for excellence, operational reliability, and its ability to scale its services for complex government missions.

Ongoing Innovation in Government Security

The new FDA contract underscores Constellis’ commitment to innovation and adaptive protection strategies in the federal space. The company emphasizes mission-first thinking, combining technology, training, and logistics support to deliver integrated protective services across a variety of government clients.

The Silver Spring contract award comes at a time when the role of private security in supporting federal agencies has grown more prominent. From public health institutions to military installations, demand is rising for vetted, highly trained security personnel capable of working in sensitive environments.

Triple Canopy’s long-term relationship with the FDA speaks to its success in meeting high standards for performance, compliance, and professionalism in federal settings.
