Real-Time Visibility, Scalable Tech, and White-Glove Service Power Modern Security Response
LAS VEGAS — With the launch of its Unified Command Center, Allied Universal is redefining how security is delivered at live events, trade shows, conventions, and other high-traffic venues. By integrating real-time video, radio communications, and situational data into a centralized mobile platform, the system is built to do more than just monitor—it adapts, responds, and prevents incidents before they escalate.
The new offering comes from Unified Command Solutions, a division formed when Allied Universal acquired Unified Command in December 2024. The platform, already making waves in the event security industry, earned an honorable mention at the 2025 SIA New Products and Solutions Awards at ISC West.
A Mobile Command Hub Built for Dynamic Events
At the core of the Unified Command Center is flexibility. Using a cellular network, the system can be deployed rapidly, allowing Allied’s teams to turn nearly any space into a fully functional operations hub.
“Our real bread and butter is in the event space—music festivals, conventions, trade shows,” said Andrew LaMadrid, vice president of sales for Unified Command Solutions. “We’ve really branched off with our managed service offering where we are able to send clients a package of pre-programmed cameras. Those cameras are just plug and play, where they can stream directly to the clients’ phone or computer.”
The scale is highly adaptable: from 10 cameras at smaller events to 200–250 cameras at Tier 1 events, with setup customized depending on the site environment using radio shots, VLANs, or other advanced networking solutions.
Active Monitoring, Not Just Passive Recording
More than a surveillance tool, the Unified Command Center provides proactive, live monitoring by expert technicians trained in real-time decision-making. They don’t just set up the tech, they actively watch for anomalies, enabling on-the-fly responses aligned with Incident Command System (ICS) best practices.
This active approach to incident prevention and rapid response is what elevates the offering from standard surveillance to a fully integrated incident management ecosystem.
“Our technicians are real masters of active monitoring during an event,” LaMadrid emphasized. “That’s where we really integrate and create a unified command center.”
Advanced Capabilities Tailored to Client Needs
In addition to surveillance, Unified Command Solutions provides:
- Facial Recognition & License Plate Recognition
- Behavioral Analytics (e.g., line counting, restricted area breaches)
- Intrusion Alarm Integration
The company’s philosophy is based on custom-fit solutions, not one-size-fits-all systems.
“We try to tailor every solution to the client and their problem,” LaMadrid said. “We bring the best solution for that.”
White-Glove Deployment and Temporary Site Coverage
Each deployment includes white-glove service, trained technicians not only install the system but also manage setup from a networking and operations perspective. Once the event concludes, the team removes all equipment, leaving no lasting footprint.
The success in the event space is propelling expansion into new verticals where temporary monitoring is crucial, including:
- Construction sites
- Oil and gas operations
- Commercial spaces during renovations or infrastructure downtime
“Incident management is really what we focus on,” LaMadrid said. “Then after the event we take it all down, and it’s like we were never there.”
A Model for the Future of Mobile Security
As physical security evolves to meet today’s real-time risks, Allied Universal’s Unified Command Center represents a powerful convergence of mobility, tech, and human intelligence. With customizable deployment, 24/7 monitoring, and advanced analytics, it offers organizations a high-touch, data-driven way to protect people and property.
