Rapper Travis Scott has been released without charges after his arrest in Paris for allegedly assaulting a hotel security guard. The incident took place on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the George V hotel in central Paris.
French authorities reported that Scott was involved in an altercation with a security guard and his own bodyguard. Police were called to the scene after the fight broke out. According to a statement from the Paris prosecutor’s office, the security guard had stepped in to separate Scott from his bodyguard.

On Saturday, the prosecutor’s office confirmed that the case was closed, stating the offense was “not sufficiently serious.” A source close to Travis Scott revealed that he had been frustrated with his bodyguard for failing to protect him from the large crowds of fans and paparazzi swarming him throughout the week.

Travis Scott, born Jacques Bermon Webster II, was in Paris to attend the 2024 Olympics. He was seen in the crowd during the U.S. men’s basketball semifinal game. His representatives have been working with local authorities to resolve the matter swiftly.
Earlier this year, Scott was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, for a disorderly intoxication charge, which his attorney later described as a misunderstanding.
